Neurologic Music Therapist

Music Therapist - Board Certified

Francesca began her music therapy journey with an early and pure love for music. She developed her passion at a very young age, beginning piano lessons when she was four years old. At the age of nine she started learning to play the viola because she liked the sound the viola produced in “Hedwig’s Theme” from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. She next found interest in the banjo and the guitar in middle school. Leading into high school she learned to play the saxophone for the Santa Monica High School marching band. While there, she expanded as a singer-songwriter, writing often about her personal experiences. In 2018 Francesca graduated from Berklee College of Music.

For the next two years, she worked in Los Angeles for a critically acclaimed film composer and performed her music with her band, Honey the Band touring across America and eventually throughout Europe in places such as England, Switzerland, and France. From 2020-2022, Francesca studied music therapy at Cal State Northridge, completing a Post-Baccalaureate Certification Program while working with clients that ranged from diagnoses of Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Alzheimer’s, and those struggling with addiction. Additionally, she interned at the Metropolitan State Hospital, working with patients incompetent to stand trial.

Francesca is passionate about working with all of her clients, particularly those struggling with eating disorders. She is very excited to work at Mewsic Moves alongside two role models and incredible music therapists, John and Zach, and can’t wait to see what the future holds.

The patience and love that Francesca puts into her work truly shows. She is so very special, providing our son a safe space where he feels comfortable to share his true, raw feelings and to actually sing! We couldn’t be happier in his therapeutic musical journey with you both.
